The Alchemist's Armory

My journey in costuming started around 10 years ago when I discovered chainmail. I did that for several years working on many projects (including a few movies). This really enabled me to understand the intricacies of armour patterns and how to construct costumes and accessories. In 2014 I made my entry into the world of cosplay. I wanted an Iron Man suit of my own, so I built one. I’ve been hooked ever since and I love creating costumes from the various fandoms including comics, movies, video games, and anime. Cosplay has been a great creative outlet for me, I find it helps to center me and enhances my ability to focus. I eventually started to get involved with the competitive aspect of cosplay and have competed in a few contests, receiving Journeyman and Master’s level awards along the way. Cosplay has been a great way to give back as well by doing charity events or just giving that high five or picture when needed. I believe that cosplay is for everyone; and encourage inclusivity in cosplay, as well as transferring knowledge and skills gained for those coming into the craft, is really important in order to build a bigger, better, and more positive community.
